I donated in support of this campaign.
South Bronx Community ("SBC") opened its doors in 2016 to provide underserved students of the South Bronx with a path to post-secondary success. SBC promotes student excellence with its emphasis on academic and personal growth in a rigorous, highly responsive learning environment. This year we are excited to graduate our first class of students!
A core part of the SBC model is the "Rites of Passage" program, a four year learning journey that fosters leadership development, a sense of self-advocacy, confidence and preparation for the real world. As part of the program design, each academic year culminates in an excursion that builds critical mindsets and social/emotional skills through experience.
With each year of their four-year journey at SBC, our students develop a personal support network, receive meaningful early college exposure and engage in an enriching global service project. Our Rites of Passage Program impacts each student at SBC every academic year and provides them with the support beyond academics necessary to navigate to and through college.
Please help me to support this effort! We are still a new school and every contribution will make a huge impact on the lives of our South Bronx students!
